As I reflect on my journey through this DNP course, I recognize the significant growth in my leadership capacity, critical thinking, and readiness to influence healthcare systems as a DNP-prepared nurse. This course challenged my preconceived notions of leadership by introducing transformational leadership as a catalyst for innovation and systemic change. I came to appreciate that true leadership transcends positional authority and instead relies on emotional intelligence, ethical stewardship, and the ability to inspire others toward a shared vision of improved patient outcomes (Broome, 2024).
