The qualitative study that relates to my selected national practice problem, heart disease, is by Tighe et al. (2022). The study aimed to explore the perceptions of individuals with CVD and healthcare professionals regarding a digital platform, “Salvio,” designed to support personalized self-management of CVD. It sought to identify key platform features and considerations for its development. The study was a two-phase design using focus groups, interviews, and activity-based workshops. Thematic analysis (inductive for Phase 1, deductive for Phase 2) was used for data interpretation. Data collection methods included focus groups with CVD patients interviews with healthcare professionals in Phase 1 and co-design workshops with users to brainstorm platform features in Phase 2. The study sample included 26 participants (18 community-dwelling CVD outpatients with internet access and 8 healthcare professionals including nurses, doctors, cardiologists, physiotherapists, and researchers in CVD management).
