Workplace violence (WPV) against nurses at ABC Hospital is a critical issue that if not effectively addressed, will continue to threaten the safety of staff and patients as well as the quality of care delivered. According to Kafle et al. (2022), WPV is associated with reduced job satisfaction, humiliation, emotional stress, burnout, guilt, psychological and physical health issues, intention to leave, and high staff turnover. To patients, WPV reduces the quality of care and patient safety. This is an interdisciplinary plan proposal to address WPV at ABC Hospital.
Objective
To implement a comprehensive interdisciplinary strategy to reduce WPV against nurses at ABC Hospital by 25% within 12 months. Achieving this objective will improve organizational outcomes by creating a safer work environment, improving staff health, well-being, and job satisfaction, reducing staff turnover, and enhancing patient care quality.
