Application of Course Knowledge

Reflecting on my learning experience in this course, I found that my thinking was challenged when developing a comprehensive practice problem plan, particularly when incorporating leadership styles, fiscal responsibility, and an implementation strategy. Leadership was not initially a path I set out to pursue; however, this course has opened my eyes to the critical role leadership plays in driving change within healthcare. Concepts such as transformational leadership, budgeting for project initiatives, and strategic presentation of practice changes made a significant impact on me. These experiences taught me that creating change is not just about having good ideas; it requires the courage to lead others and the skills to present a convincing, well-supported plan. As a future master’s-prepared nurse, I envision using these concepts to advocate for quality improvement initiatives, lead interdisciplinary teams, and confidently guide evidence-based practice changes to enhance patient care.
